Exit tickets should help the students. I liked how you modeled going through exit tickets after class and then trying to make the decision of whether to move on… so many memories of doing that and I actually stopped using them on a consistent basis. However, using exit tickets with LEGS or a self-reflection is not only giving me feedback, but students feedback. A4Ls should inform students about their progress on the learning goal.
