This scares me a little bit. Writing good feedback takes time. I typically grade a test and when I give it back students will see a check mark on correct questions or circles around places where they made mistakes. My thinking is that I want them to look at these circles and figure out where they went wrong in their solve, but often it just results in them asking me, “what is this circle for”. I think I need to be more explicit from the beginning of the year so that they know what it means. But, I also like having a spot on the paper for feedback and for corrections.
