This isn’t necessarily a new take-away, but it is something that I need to keep in the fore-front of my mind. In order for Notice and Wonder to be effective, I have to make sure I am withholding information to set up the anticipation. I also need to acknowledge all responses, at least in the beginning, in order to get investment into the lesson from all/most students.
Knowledgehook sounds like it could be a great resource, especially to help fill gaps. I checked into it on line a bit, and it appears that it is geared toward teachers in Canada, using their standards. Do you know if it is compatible with the Common Core State Standards in the US?
