My takeaway actually came from Podcast #12 How Do I Make Memorable Math Moments AND Cover The Curriculum? It answered the question of how this framework addresses automaticity, but the intent is to run a 3 act math task for every new idea. It doesn’t seem like it but when you consolidate you touch upon several standards typical textbooks break apart into separate days. Then when you strip the review days off the calendar you increase the amount of instruction over the course of a year.
