I’m wondering about students selecting the evidence for their portfolio. While I see the power in this, I’m wondering if some students don’t do a problem while leaning heavily on a classmate, parent, sibling, friend, tutor, website, whatever, and then claim that the result is evidence of their learning. Is it? If they are not able to do it on their own? Do they indicate that in some way when they submit, or how do you control for that?
