Many districts follow research in analyzing data through multiple-choice tests and I fear I am required to give such a test every 3 weeks. My takeaway is that standard-based assessments offer greater success and communicate a growth mindset, but I will have to figure out what that will look like in my classroom. I hope to learn some way to bridge the divide between traditional assessment and standard-based assessment so students still believe in a growth mindset.
