Most of the ratios that we use in class tend to be composed units. Usually we find the miles per hour or pieces per person. Finding the rate as a jumping off point to answer any question. I don’t think I have we have ever drawn attention to the difference in how you work with a table and what the result would be. Partitive division vs quotative division or composed unit vs multiplicative comparison. This has given me a lot to think about.
