Hello,

I’m Cheryl. I teach grades 6/7 in a middle years model school (so, all of the subjects to one class). I live and work in Winnipeg, MB. I am a second year teacher who specialized in Drama in Ed in university. The whole reason I didn’t take middle of early years ed, was because I DIDN’T HAVE THE MATH PREREQUISITES GRADES FROM MY OWN HIGH SCHOOL EXPERIENCE TO TAKE UNIVERSITY K-8 EDUCATION. Now that I teach math I actually love it and realize I just didn’t have teachers that helped me to understand (cue the fast paced text book model). I joined the Math Moments community to learn how to implement and assess all of the things I believe are important such as process over product.
