In this unit, students will explore the two types of division, partitive and quotative through the context of sowing peas. Students will be introduced to the array model as a tool for solving and representing division problems when dividing two-digit dividends by single-digit divisors. This unit is an introduction to big ideas related to the operation of division that should be considered before introducing subsequent MMM division units.
